How we operate
Cooking Meals
Prior to serving time, our volunteers meet up and cook our homemade meals. We use the freshest and most economical ingredients available. Our recipes are a mixture of homecooked favourites, custom chef-created meals for Dig in and suggestions from our clients.
Preparing for Service
After cooking our meals, we place them in plastic containers for convenience and transport them fresh and hot to our serving location. Our freshness and variety have allowed us to foster the reputation of the best charity cooked meals in Brisbane.
Serving Meals
We serve our meals at Kemp Place Park (Kemp Place) and West End Common-Bunyapa Park (Bunyapa Park) at 4.30pm-5pm sharp every Saturday – see also “Find us” below for more details.
It is here we chat and catch up while people are digging into their meal.
We need your help
If you’d like to help put a smile on the face and fresh, wholesome food in the belly of our most vulnerable brothers and sisters, we’d welcome your help. Whether you fancy yourself as a cook or would just like to lend a hand, we need you.
